Care Instructions

Cutting Board and Cheese Board Care

  • Hand wash only with gentle detergent and the soft side of a sponge or rag
  • Lukewarm water is preferable to prevent heating up the oils and allowing them to wipe away
  • NEVER soak a cutting board or put in a dish washer
  • Clean as soon as practical after use
  • Towel dry and store after washing, don't let air dry
  • After every several uses, or when the cutting board begins to lose its sheen, apply a wood conditioner such as Howard's Products Butcher Block Conditioner
  • Cut marks can always be sanded out if desired, but make sure to apply 2-3  healthy coats of mineral oil or wood conditioner after sanding
