Care Instructions
Cutting Board and Cheese Board Care
- Hand wash only with gentle detergent and the soft side of a sponge or rag
- Lukewarm water is preferable to prevent heating up the oils and allowing them to wipe away
- NEVER soak a cutting board or put in a dish washer
- Clean as soon as practical after use
- Towel dry and store after washing, don't let air dry
- After every several uses, or when the cutting board begins to lose its sheen, apply a wood conditioner such as Howard's Products Butcher Block Conditioner
- Cut marks can always be sanded out if desired, but make sure to apply 2-3 healthy coats of mineral oil or wood conditioner after sanding
